Data deletion

Last updated 21 August 2026

To request deletion: email cas@casrose.co.uk with the subject “Data deletion request”, and tell us the phone number or email address you use with the service.

We acknowledge within five working days and complete within one month.

First — check who actually holds your data

There are two situations, and they have different answers.

You contacted Casrose directly

If you emailed us or used the enquiry form on this website, we are the controller of that information. We handle your request start to finish.

You use a service we run for your employer or contractor

If you message a WhatsApp service that a business engaged us to build and operate, that business is the controller of your records. We are its processor, which means we cannot delete its records on our own initiative — doing so would destroy records the business may be legally required to keep.

Send the request to us anyway. We will acknowledge it, pass it to the business without delay and help them action it. You will usually get a faster answer by also asking that business directly.

What to include in your request

What gets deleted

Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, so a copy may persist in backup for up to 90 days after deletion. Backups are not used for anything except restoring a failure.

What may be kept, and why

Some records cannot be deleted on request because the business holding them is required by law to keep them. Typically that means:

Where records are kept for these reasons they are restricted to that purpose, and not used to contact you or make decisions about you.

If you just want the messages to stop

You do not have to erase your history to stop being messaged. Tell the business that enrolled your number, or email us and we will pass it on, and the number will be removed from the messaging list. You can also block the number in WhatsApp at any time, which stops messages immediately.

If you are not satisfied

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You are also free to complain to the controller directly.
